When I hear certain Bob Dylan songs, I'm ready to die. That sounds dramatic, but I mean it in a good waythey put me at peace, or connect with me in a great, personal way. I could name 50 songs, but the one that inspired me to write at this moment is Mr. Tambourine Man. I don't care if it's about a drug deal, or whatever; it makes me feel like crying, and I don't even know why.
Let's see. The only perfect thing is nothing, right? Does this prove that God doesn't exist?
Nah.
When a person is on the lookout for someone to love or be with, one of the main criteria is similar interests/characteristics/beliefs/knowledge. This is great and all, especially for friendships. But I think that an even greater bond can be found between people who differ in these ways (big or small) but connect in other crucial ways that might be less evident until actually found. I didn't explain that very well. For example, a person who is a genius and a person of average intelligence might not mesh in their collective knowledge of subjects or might think differently about things. However, within the right circumstances, the two might form the strongest bond through other things they have in common. The genius and the average person might not be able to discuss abstract poetry, a forgotten philosophical giant, or a period of art (at least not yet), but they can share a great love. And think of all the things they can teach each other!
Know what I mean, Vern?
